Our Emotions Tree

Our Emotions Tree

Oliver Dale from the Mental Health Support Team at CAMHS has been working with our children to enable them to get in touch with their emotions and share how they are feeling.

What is an Emotions Tree and why do we do it?

An emotions tree is a large, colourful display in school. It shows the children’s and staff’s thoughts and feelings for everyone to see. Through using an Emotions Tree, it’s help us share how we feel and show that we all have different feelings, and that all emotions are ok.

What did we get out of it?

  • The theme for this Emotions Tree was, “What am I grateful for?”
  • The Emotions Tree showed us how much we love our families and how much the children love their school. Others said they like the shops near their home and one person even said they love ‘everything’!
