Our Year 1 children had a fantastic visit to the library, where they enjoyed exploring a wide range of books and listening to engaging stories. It was a wonderful opportunity to inspire a love of reading, and the children showed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the visit.
A vibrant Sports Day brought our school community together for a fun-filled celebration of teamwork, energy and school spirit. Students took part in a wide range of events — from the fast-paced relay race to the impressive javelin, along with favourites like the egg and spoon race and the bean bag toss. Every event showcased determination, enthusiasm and plenty of smiles, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
Year 5 had a fantastic day at Weston Park Museum, discovering how weather experts predict the weather and creating their very own anemometers. The museum tour was packed full of excitement and helped their learning come alive.

Reception enjoyed a trip to the Butterfly House. It was an exciting hands-on learning experience. The children saw butterflies up close which linked to our learning in class about the lifecycle of a butterfly. We also saw lots of different animals such as otters, lemurs, frogs, peacocks and wallabies.

Year 2 children recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Concord sports centre in Sheffield, where they took part in the Archie festival. The afternoon was filled with a variety of fun and energetic activities that encourages teamwork, coordination and confidence. The children showed great enthusiasm as they participated in different challenges, developing their physical skills while also supporting one another.
On Thursday 5th March, children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or in cosy pyjamas. Together with their class, they will enjoy sharing and reading books throughout the day. Our teachers will be dressing up too, making it a fun and memorable celebration for everyone.
